
The Mission of the Children’s Safe Harbor Supervised Visitation & Visitation Exchange Program of Winnebago County, Illinois is to lessen the harmful effects of domestic violence for both adult and child victims by creating a supervised visitation and visitation exchange program that is a safe and supportive environment in which abusive behavior is acknowledged while promoting relationships between parents and children without risk of fear, intimidation and post-separation abuse.

Children’s Safe Harbor, located at 1416 20th Street, Rockford, Illinois 61104, provides a safe place to exchange children for visitation or for supervised visitation.
SPECIAL NOTE ON SCHEDULING - On July 31st Children’s Safe Harbor will be moving to 1340 S. Alpine Rd. Rockford, IL 61108. We will be closed from July 28th-August 10th to get everything ready to reopen.
Parents interested in accessing Children’s Safe Harbor must complete an intake with staff before beginning services. There are no fees to utilize Children’s Safe Harbor.
Children’s Safe Harbor is open for visitation exchanges:
Wednesdays 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Fridays 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to Noon, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Sundays 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Children’s Safe Harbor is open for supervised visitation (by appointment only):

Saturdays 11:00a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
