Since 2006, litigants in small claims in Winnebago County cases have been able to actively resolve disputes through our free and voluntary Small Claims mediation program.

At mediation, the parties meet with a neutral mediator who listens to both sides and helps the parties find their own solution. Mediators do not make any decisions for the parties.
If you would like to participate in mediation to help resolve your Small Claims case, be sure to ask the Judge about it at your court appearance.
